The Punjab government is planning to integrate vehicle token tax payments and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) challan payments into a single digital application to make the payment process easier and more efficient for citizens.
The initiative aims to simplify vehicle-related payments by allowing users to manage multiple government dues through one centralized platform. Authorities believe the move will improve convenience, transparency, and digital accessibility across Punjab.
The integrated system will likely operate through the existing ePay Punjab platform, which already supports several government payment services including token tax, traffic challans, vehicle registration fees, property tax, and other public payments.

Officials say the new integration will help vehicle owners quickly pay EPA fines issued for excessive smoke emissions or environmental violations alongside their annual token taxes without visiting multiple offices or using separate systems.
Punjab has recently increased its focus on digital governance and smart monitoring systems. Safe City cameras and digital surveillance tools are already being used in various cities to identify vehicles causing environmental pollution and traffic violations.
By combining these services into one app, the government hopes to encourage faster compliance, reduce paperwork, and provide a smoother user experience for motorists across the province.
