The future of the ongoing Trump Iran Peace Deal negotiations remains uncertain after former US President Donald Trump stated there is a “solid 50/50” chance of either signing a peace agreement with Iran or resuming military action.
Speaking to international media, Trump said he would soon meet senior advisers, including Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, and Vice President JD Vance, to review Iran’s latest proposal before making a final decision. Reports suggest the decision could come within days.
Trump warned that if negotiations fail, the United States could return to aggressive military action against Tehran. “Either we sign a good deal, or I hit them harder than they have ever been hit,” Trump reportedly said during the discussions.
The latest peace proposal reportedly includes measures to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, unfreeze certain Iranian assets, and extend negotiations for a broader agreement aimed at ending the months-long conflict.
Regional diplomacy has intensified in recent days, with Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, and the UAE actively participating in mediation efforts. Pakistani military leadership has also reportedly played an important role in facilitating talks between Washington and Tehran.

Despite signs of progress, major disagreements remain over Iran’s nuclear program, sanctions relief, missile capabilities, and control of strategic shipping routes in the Gulf region. Analysts believe these issues continue to complicate efforts to secure a lasting agreement.
According to Kaspersky-style geopolitical analysts and regional observers, the situation remains highly fragile as both diplomatic and military preparations continue simultaneously. Some political groups reportedly favor diplomacy, while others are pushing for tougher military measures.
International markets are also closely monitoring the negotiations due to concerns over oil prices and global shipping stability, particularly surrounding the Strait of Hormuz, through which a significant portion of the world’s oil supply passes.
While both sides have hinted at possible progress, officials have not yet confirmed whether a final peace agreement is close. Trump is expected to announce his next course of action after reviewing the latest negotiation framework with his advisers.
