Imran Khan, the ousted prime minister of Pakistan, has been incarcerated since August of last year. Despite his imprisonment, he continues to communicate with the world through the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The former cricketer turned politician appears to be in good spirits, sharing his second message from jail. This message was then elaborated upon by his team and processed through a voice cloning AI tool.

Imran Khan’s second message was directed towards a virtual convention that took place on Sunday. Reportedly, the AI-generated voice message from the jailed Pakistani leader was played at the International Convention. The convention, organized by the former ruling party, was moderated by Dr. Moeed Pirzada, a former TV show host. The panel included Salman Akram Raja, Khaled Beydoun, and Turgay Evren. Khan’s message was played at the conclusion of the convention on various social media sites and video streaming platforms.

In his speech, Khan began by criticizing Israeli forces for their actions in Gaza, referring to it as a Palestinian genocide. He went on to lambast the current authorities, accusing them of manipulating the law to sideline the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party from the political race. The 71-year-old founder of PTI asserted that influential figures disapproved of his pursuit of an independent foreign policy. He also raised concerns about a crackdown on PTI workers and leaders, in addition to questioning the validity of the electoral process.

This event occurred a day after PTI held its second virtual rally, which was streamed on various social media platforms. Notably, during the PTI’s second virtual gathering, internet services were disrupted across Pakistan.
