Huawei, the leading technology company, recently held its 2023 Huawei Smart Car Solution Conference and officially launched its advanced technology, Huawei ADS 2.0, which boasts of the industry’s first laser-fused GOD network. Huawei’s latest technology supports across surface and underground parking lots, making it highly versatile and adaptable to different parking scenarios.
During the conference, Yu Chengdong, the Executive Director of Huawei, announced the release of HarmonyOS 4.0, set to be launched this fall. This is an exciting development as HarmonyOS 4.0 is expected to have new features and capabilities. For context, HarmonyOS 3.0 was launched in July last year, with a scale upgrade in September.

If all goes according to plan, HarmonyOS 4.0 will be released together with the highly anticipated Huawei Mate 60 series in September. Huawei’s latest operating system will enable multi-person, multi-device, multi-screen, and multi-sound zones in the car. It will also support six-sound zone sound source positioning, enabling concurrent control of multiple people, multi-screen, and multi-sound zones.
Compared to Harmony 2.0/3.0, HarmonyOS 4.0 also features eye position tracking and eye state recognition in the cabin, which will enable better driver monitoring and enhance safety in the vehicle. Moreover, the latest operating system also supports multi-screen, multi-channel two-way streaming and multi-screen cross-device projection, making it highly versatile and adaptable to various in-car scenarios.
HarmonyOS 4.0 is also set to have a significant voice upgrade, with Huawei’s large model training results being used to improve Xiaoyi’s voice. Xiaoyi is Huawei’s intelligent voice assistant and is expected to be even more intelligent with the new operating system.
The conference also revealed that Huawei’s ADS 2.0 features a laser-fused GOD network, which is the first of its kind in the industry. This network enables high-speed communication between different components of the system and supports surface and underground parking lots. Huawei’s ADS 2.0 system is set to revolutionize the parking industry, enabling faster and more efficient parking.
