Last month, the Nothing Phone (2a) debuted in black, white, and milk color options. Coming up next week, specifically on Monday, Nothing is preparing to introduce a complementary addition to the phone, as hinted by the Indian online retailer, Flipkart.

Scheduled for launch in India on April 29, Flipkart has teased the new edition of the Nothing Phone (2a) through an image showcasing the smartphone’s design, which closely resembles the existing models.

However, details about this mysterious new version of the Nothing Phone (2a) remain undisclosed, as Neither Nothing nor Flipkart have provided any information on how it will differ from the original Nothing Phone (2a). With the launch just two days away, all will be unveiled very soon.

A Community-Designed Phone?

Speculatively, it’s possible that this new version will be a community-designed smartphone stemming from a program initiated by Nothing last month. This program, dubbed “The Community Edition Project,” invited customers to participate in designing Nothing’s next phone. The project spans six months and unfolds through four stages, during which Nothing will gather input from its customers for the design aspects of a special edition Nothing Phone (2a). This leads us to speculate that the “New Edition” set to launch on Monday is a community-designed phone.

However, since this is purely speculative, we advise approaching this information with caution and awaiting the official launch for confirmation.
